Voici le sketch que nous avions à interpréter en juillet sur Scrap our Stash.
Here is the sketch for July on Scrap our Stash.

 

J'ai choisi Simple Stories, Timberwolf et Ultramarine comme éléments principaux dans les trois listes. J'ai opté pour une page clean & simple avec beaucoup d'espace blanc autour de ma photo. Les papiers Simple Stories étaient parfaits pour accompagner cette photo de mon mini à la plage. Ils dormaient dans mes tiroirs depuis quelques années.

From the three lists, I've chose Simple Stories, Timberwolf and Ultramarine. I went for a minimal clean and simple layout leaving a lot of white space around my picture. The Simple Stories papers were perfect for this beach picture of my youngest son. I've had this collection for a couple of years and it was pratically unused.

After prepping my background with clear and white gesso, I applied modelling paste using the gorgeous Fairy Dust 2 Stencil. I then covered the stars with pink sprays.



I basecoated my Flourish Set and title with white gesso, then added a few stamping details over. In the end, I also added touches of pink color on top of them with sprays.

As for my first layout for the monthly challenge, I had a nautical theme in mind when creating this second page. I just love the anchor and compass. There are such classical elements have on a layout.

I embellished my chiboards with dark brown gelatos. My title was done using white gesso and Irresistible texture spray.

Et voici ma page, tout en douceur! Les couleurs m'ont grandement inspiré. J'ai choisi un style clean & simple pour laisser toute la place à cette magnifique photo de mon grand garçon et moi. J'ai étampé, légèrement peint et découpé mes fleurs. Je les ai disposé de manière à faire une lit de fleurs autour de ma photo.

 

Here is my layout, made of soft colors. I was mainly inspired by the colors. I chose a clean & simple layout to let this beautiful picture of my oldest son and me be the main attraction. I stamped, light painted and cut the flowers and placed them around the picture to create a kind of flower bed.

Creative Embellishment - Défi du mois d'août

Hello!

Voici l'image dont nous devions nous inspirer pour le défi mensuel d'août sur Creative Embellishments. Des cercles devaient également être ajoutés à la création.

 

 

I was mainly attracted by the sky contrasting colors, which inspired me a grunge layout. This picture of my oldest son was a perfect match.

 

Since this month twist was to use circles, I decided to integrate many of them to my background.  Some are done using a stencil and Gelatos and the others are from different stamp sets. I used Binary Stamp with Archival blue ink to add constrast. The new Brick pieces, painted with Gelatos, were used to mat my picture and on either side of the layout to complete my grungy look. I also used a bunch of mini gears. My title is from Social Media Hash Tags set.

Défi mensuel Creative Embellishments

C'est le moment de vous présenter ma première page en tant que membre de l'équipe créative de Creative Embellishments. Pour le défi mensuel de juillet, nous devons nous inspirer de cette image et ajouter des étoiles à notre création.

It's time for me to show you my very first layout as part of Creative Embellishments Design team.
For the July montly challenge, we had to use the image below and integrate stars to our layout.

This is my very first project as part of CE DT. I'm really happy to be joining this great team!!! The colors from the challenge picture inspired my a nautical theme layout, featuring my oldest son a few years back at the beach.

I've covered the Stars in Universe frame with white embossing powder and then with a few sparkles of gold powder. The Nautical Star and Anchor received the same treatment. I've completed my layout with Treasure Border word, that I've painted using my mists.
